Description

Magnesium Taurate is a chelate of magnesium bonded to the amino acid taurine. Taurine has been shown to be beneficial for cardiovascular health, so Magnesium Taurate is a good choice for those looking for both a magnesium supplement and a supplement to support a healthy heart.

Recommended Dosage

Our recommended dosage of Magnesium Taurate is three 500 mg capsules per day for a total dose of 1500 mg. This dosage provides 120 mg of elemental magnesium, or roughly 29% of one’s daily magnesium requirement.

Higher doses can be taken if you’re looking to correct a more serious magnesium deficiency, but we do not recommend exceeding 8 capsules (4000 mg) per day.

Magnesium Taurate Side Effects

Side effects of Magnesium Taurate are rare, with drowsiness being the most commonly reported side effect. (For this reason we recommend taking it in the evening before bed.) Other side effects that have been reported are headaches and diarrhea.
