Description

Beta Ecdysterone is a naturally occurring compound found in plants and insects, which has recently become popular as a supplement for supporting optimal levels of male hormones and post-resistance training recovery. Beta Ecdysterone is a fairly new supplement but the research that has been published so far shows exceptional benefits.

One study on Beta Ecdysterone found a 20% increase in protein synthesis via stimulation of the PI3K pathway. Another study found that after 10 weeks of Beta Ecdysterone use combined with resistance training participants gained nearly 2 kg in lean muscle mass.

Recommended Dosage

For hormonal support or post-workout recovery, we recommend taking 1-2 capsules of Beta Ecdysterone per day with or without food. We don’t recommend exceeding 4 capsules per day as Beta Ecdysterone hasn’t been heavily researched at high doses.

Side Effects

Beta Ecdysterone is a fairly new supplement and studies conducted so far have not found any adverse side effects. That said this product has not been heavily studied at higher doses and what side effects could result from exceeding the recommended dosage are currently unknown.

Beta Ecdysterone

I make and test ecdysterone and Double Wood is darn good....to a point.

For the last year I've researched, produced and tested ecdysterone products for my own site- gymvikingusa. Getting wholesalers to send you legit 90%+ ecdysterone is rare. But, occasionally I'll buy a company's product to test and try out. I can tell you that Double Woods is legit over 90% sterones. You can tell by the color and, of course, after distilling down and removing any plant fiber material. The only drawback is that it is in simple form. i.e. no complexing to increase bioavailability. So, you have the best purity of the mainstream market, but it's cut with a tiny percentage of rice flour- which chunks and gunks if you try to process it. To me it's like putting bad gas in a ferrari. That said, you won't find a higher purity on the mainstream market.

Best "plain" Ecdysterone

I have my own small supplement company that specializes in producing highly absorbable versions of already effective products. While developing my first product, along with other sources, used Double Wood ecdysterone in my experimentation. I found it to be a better bargain for plain ecdy than others on the market. Keep in mind that when tested by nootropics depot, double wood ecdy had an actual 50% beta-ecdysterone by HPLC. Anecdotally you can count on nearly double the HPLC testing for total sterones. So their 98% was actually somewhere close to 90%- the only mainstream source on the market that was anywhere near that high. (except botany.bio which is more research only/gray area)
