Astaxanthin Supplement

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring red pigment in the class of compounds known as carotenoids and is found in high concentrations in algae and salmon. (Where it causes salmon’s well known pink-red color.) Astaxanthin is best known as an extremely potent antioxidant, but using it as a supplement has also been shown to support skin, gut, ocular, and immune health. We recommend just taking one Astaxanthin softgel per day for a total dosage of 12 mg. Due to the olive oil base in the softgels it is not necessary to take this product with a meal, but doing so will ensure optimal absorption. While higher doses can be taken safely we don’t recommend exceeding 2 softgels (24 mg) per day.
