Description

Bacopa monnieri is an herb often used in Ayurveda traditional medicine. Bacopa is often taken as a supplement for supporting memory formation and helping to manage occasional stress.

Bacopa supports both the dopaminergic and serotonergic systems but works mainly by increasing the rate at which neurons communicate by supporting the growth of dendrites (nerve endings), thus facilitating communication between brain cells.

Recommended Dosage

When taken as a supplement for general cognition, the recommended dosage of Bacomind is two 150 mg capsules for a 300 mg total dose. Bacopa should be taken with food, as taking it on an empty stomach increases chances of experiencing adverse gastrointestinal side effects and prevents its absorption.

Bacopa extract is very well tolerated at typical doses and adverse side effects are rare. Most side effects are gastrointestinal in nature and can be avoided by taking Bacopa with food.
