"A long time ago, I use to take L-Carnitine for my nerves in my feet and heart health. Then I stopped taking them. "ALCAR was suggested to me by my doctor. He said to help brain and cognitive functions the dosage had to be at least 2 grams/day. I did notice a difference in my cognitive abilities after a few months. I stayed at this dosage level for several years. As I got closer to my 70s, brain function became more erratic especially a cognitive decline. I did more research on ALCAR and found most often by several sources that theroputic dosage can be between 2 and 4 grams per day. I increased my daily intake to 3 grams. Within a few weeks, my cognitive functions were improving. Within a few months it became stable. My daily routine is more predictable and stable at 3 grams/day."
