Description

Magnesium is an essential dietary mineral, and is the second most common electrolyte in the body. Magnesium deficiencies are common in the western diet, and magnesium deficiencies can cause a number of adverse health effects including weakness, cramps, anxiety, and high blood pressure.

There are many supplemental forms of Magnesium, but what makes Magnesium L-Threonate unique is that research has shown that this form in particular can improve brain magnesium and may have cognitive enhancing properties. Research on Magnesium L-Threonate has shown it to provide improvements on learning and recall, as well as slowing age-related cognitive decline.

Recommended Dosage

When taken as a supplement, we recommend a daily dosage of 1000 – 2000 mg. (2-4 capsules.) It is not recommended to exceed 2000 mg per day.

Magnesium Threonate Side Effects

The most common side effect associated with Magnesium use is drowsiness, which is why it is best taken at night. Dizziness and headaches are rarely reported, but possible side effects.

I actually experienced the somnolence effect mentioned in the prospect. Memory is difficult to evaluate without taking a specialized test but I have seen improvement. I'm taking this with Sulbutiamine (VB1). Both (Mg, VB1) are cofactors of the same enzymes so synergy is guaranteed.

Nothing I've tried does a better job of helping my fall asleep and stay asleep. Minor grogginess next morning but it passes quickly.

I always wake up every 3 hours. Have for as long as I can remember. When I take this I still wake up but feel so sedated I fall back asleep in less than a minute. Love it.

I originally bought this product because I have migraines and was getting off the prescription medicine. I had always taken a magnesium supplement but since this new form was available, I thought I'd give it a try. I loved it. My sleep improved and my headaches were less. I shared it with my daughter and husband. She has restless legs and it has helped her to sleep through the night without taking her RLS prescription medicine. My husband is also sleeping more soundly. Bonus! Needless to say we are big fans of magnesium L threonate.

I think everyone should give this type of magnesium a try. From what I read it is the only type that crosses the blood brain barrier to have an immediate and powerful effect.

As far back as I can remember which is like highschool (I am 30 now) I have had sleep issues. Not only would it sometimes take me as long as 30-60 minutes to fall asleep, but almost every night I would wake up every 3 hours. Even though I usually fell back asleep rather quickly some nights I didn’t and it was frustrating to say the least.

This is good magnesium l-threonate. I take one serving (4 pills - 2,000mg) an hour before bed. I don't remember the last time I slept so well.

Total knockout, this paired with Ltheanine, and a small amount of zinc = Waking up without a care in the world.
