Description

NMNH (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is a powerful supplement that boosts NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) levels, essential for numerous biological processes in every living cell. As NAD+ levels decline with age, NMNH helps enhance cellular energy, cognitive function, and immune system health. Recent research indicates that NMNH may be the most effective supplement for maintaining NAD+ levels as we age, supporting overall health and longevity.

Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Vegan

The Science Behind NMNH (Dihydronicotinamide Mononucleotide)

  1. NMNH as a potent NAD+ precursor
In a peer-reviewed study, researchers identified reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide — NMNH — as a new NAD+ precursor and found that it increased NAD+ levels faster and to a higher extent than NMN or NR in mammalian cells and mice.
Read the study: Zapata-Pérez et al., “Reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide is a new and potent NAD+ precursor in mammalian cells and mice,” FASEB Journal, 2021
  2. UthPeak® Phase I human clinical trial
UthPeak® has completed a 90-day, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase I human clinical trial with 80 healthy adults. EffePharm reports that the trial showed up to a 3x increase in NAD+ levels, up to a 5-year improvement in biological age markers, a 35% increase in energy, and a 31% improvement in emotional well-being.

What Customers Are Saying

Reviews

"At age 49, and excited to me a mommy soon- I’m taking this supplement to boost my pre- conception health, and noticed improved reproductive organ function when combined with NAD+."

- Dorcas K.

"This supplement is a game changer! Research shows that it uptakes faster, yields higher NAD+, and stays active longer than MNM. It also yields higher concentrations in more key organs. I was taking liposomal NMN but switched to Doublewood NMNH. I have felt a marked uptick in energy and cannot believe my stamina in the gym."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is NMNH?

NMNH, or dihydronicotinamide mononucleotide, is the reduced form of NMN and a precursor to NAD+, a coenzyme involved in cellular energy production and healthy aging pathways. NMNH is not “NMN hydrochloride.” It is a distinct reduced molecule that has been studied as a next-generation NAD+ precursor because early research suggests it may raise NAD+ levels more efficiently than NMN or NR.

How is NMNH different from NMN?

NMNH is structurally different from NMN because it is the reduced form of nicotinamide mononucleotide, carrying an added hydride on the nicotinamide ring. This structural difference may allow NMNH to support NAD+ through a different pathway than standard NMN. In UthPeak®’s Phase I human trial, EffePharm reported up to a 3x increase in NAD+ levels after 90 days of supplementation.

What is the clinically studied dose of NMNH?

The UthPeak® Phase I clinical trial evaluated daily NMNH supplementation over 90 days in healthy adults, including 125 mg, 250 mg, and 500 mg groups. For consumer positioning, 250 mg per day is the key clinically studied dose to highlight because it matches many finished-product serving sizes. The study used a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design with 80 participants.

Does NMNH have side effects?

In UthPeak®’s 90-day Phase I clinical trial, EffePharm reported no adverse effects on clinical laboratory markers, including blood chemistry, lipid profile, liver function, renal function, and urinalysis. However, human research on NMNH is still emerging. Anyone who is pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a medical condition should speak with a healthcare professional before using NMNH.

What is UthPeak®?

UthPeak® is a branded, high-purity NMNH ingredient developed by EffePharm and positioned as the first NMNH ingredient backed by a completed human clinical trial. Unlike generic NMNH, UthPeak® has ingredient-level clinical data from an 80-participant, 90-day, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase I trial evaluating safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, NAD+ levels, biological age markers, energy, and well-being.

Is Double Wood NMNH third-party tested?

Yes. Every batch is third-party tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory for identity, NMNH purity, heavy metals, and microbial safety. The active (dihydronicotinamide mononucleotide, the reduced form of NMN) is verified by HPLC against reference standards. The full COA panel covers four heavy metals via ICP-MS (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury against USP <2232> limits) and six microbial screens (Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mold, Coliform, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus per USP and AOAC methods). The NMNH is sourced from UthPeak® by Effepharm — the world's first reduced NMN ingredient to complete a human Phase I clinical trial and achieve Self-Affirmed GRAS status. Manufactured in a cGMP-certified U.S. facility.

What does the NMNH Certificate of Analysis confirm?

The COA verifies identity and content of UthPeak® dihydronicotinamide mononucleotide (the reduced form of NMN) per capsule by HPLC. UthPeak® is documented at >98% purity per the Effepharm technical specification, with each batch independently verified. Heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury all below USP <2232> daily-intake limits by ICP-MS. Microbials within USP and AOAC specifications; E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus confirmed Absent. The most recent batch COA is linked above for verification against the lot number on your bottle.

Reviews

"This product is well tolerated. No digestive or nervous system side effects. We’ve only been taking a few weeks, so too soon to ‘feel’ it working, but looking forward to self assessment as we stay constant and consistent with daily useage. Wonderful company to deal with: great products, fair prices, big selection, responsive & attentive customer service."

I have been taking NMNH

"I have been taking NMNH for almost a month. I am in my late 50s. I have not noticed any difference. I was hoping I would because I get very tired in the middle of the day."

Nancy R. (1/5)

Nice, but too expensive.

So far, so good

"I'm still on my first bottle. No adverse effects. Hoping it'll improve my NAD levels and energy. I'm pleased with the quality and the price. It's probably too early to detect results. But I do plan to repurchase :)"

Hannah O. (5/5)

Great quality

"I been buying their products for a long time and the quality is great ,the company is great and price just right"

Maria G. (5/5)

NMNH

"We have been talking this supplement for a couple years now and we definitely feel a difference in our overall energy. We can easily take a 3 mile walk every day now."

This Helped Me with Long Covid

"No joke. I was bed bound for years. Now, I'm looking for work again, trying to clean up my apartment. I do get fatigued and all that - gotta take it slow and careful. But this helped me clear out the brain fog and get my life back in order again. It's expensive, but I'm grateful it's available and so helpful. I've tried three brands and this one has the best quality and potency. With one of the cheaper brands, I didn't feel much anything at the same mg dosage. Highly recommend. Well worth your time and money."

Andrea R. (5/5)

Healthy aging

"At age 49, and excited to me a mommy soon- I’m taking this supplement to boost my pre- conception health, and noticed improved reproductive organ function when combined with NAD+."

Dorcas K. (5/5)

I'll never know, but the research shows it may help as I age.

"While I haven't noticed any improvements or changes after taking it for a month, I expect it's working because of what it is. My aim is to live healthier for longer. Fisetin, given all the research done on it will help. Obviously, try to get everything you need from food, but supplements do help. As an aside, I've looked at a lot of different companies and Double Wood seems legit. Supplements aren't cheap and I like to know that I'm getting what I'm paying for."
