Magnesium is an essential mineral and is one of the most commonly found electrolytes in the body. While many foods are rich in magnesium, deficiencies are very common in the western diet.

Magnesium Citrate is an ionic compound which contains positive magnesium ions and negative citrate ions and is standardized to contain 14% elemental magnesium by weight giving it an above average elemental magnesium content when compared to other forms of magnesium.

Magnesium Citrate is well tolerated and side effects are rare, but adverse side effects including upset stomach, diarrhea, and drowsiness have sometimes been reported.
