Benefits

• SUPPORTS LIVER AND LUNG HEALTH - N-Acetyl Cysteine has been found to be beneficial to liver and lung health.
• RAISES GLUTATHIONE LEVELS - N-Acetyl Cysteine is converted to cysteine by the liver, which it then uses to produce the potent antioxidant Glutathione.
• MANUFACTURED IN THE USA - Our N-Acetyl Cysteine supplement is manufactured in the U.S.A. at a cGMP certified facility.

Description

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for the amino acid L-cysteine which when taken orally can cause the body to produce more of the potent antioxidant glutathione that it otherwise would. By raising glutathione levels NAC provides antioxidant effects and similar benefits to taking bioavailable glutathione supplements.

In addition to its ability to raise the body’s production of glutathione, NAC also supports healthy liver, lung, and kidney function and may support healthy immune system functioning.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended dosage for N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is two 500 mg capsules per day for a total daily dose of 1000 mg. For a more potent effect this dosage can be increased to 4 capsules per day (2000 mg), but we do not recommend exceeding 4 capsules per day. NAC is best taken on an empty stomach for proper absorption.

Side Effects

N-Acetyl Cysteine is very well tolerated and side effects are unlikely at normal doses, but when taken at high doses side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation are sometimes experienced.

NAC may be dangerous for people with bleeding disorders or taking blood thinning medications as it may slow blood clotting. We recommend avoiding NAC if you’re taking blood thinners or have any bleeding disorders such as hemophilia.

NAC

This is an important supplement. Double Wood does a great job on their web site briefly explaining the importance of NAC to the production of the antioxidant Glutathione.

NAC Works!

I started taking NAC first thing in the morning if I felt a little off or had a little congestion. I made the mistake of taking it with breakfast and it upset my stomach a bit. Now I take on an empty stomach. Any ill health symptoms just go away within a day. A also gave a weeks' supply to my adult niece who had been fighting a nasty cough for three weeks. After just a couple of days, her cough was gone. I do take other supplements too like Quercetin, Vitamin D3, Zinc, Elderberry, Vitamin C, and Magnesium. Plus,
Good nutritious food=Good Medicine. The key is to support your own immune system as much as you can and stay away from all of these pharmaceuticals doctors try to push on you that harm your organs and immune system.
